Philosophy
We are committed to providing all of the children in Kidz Care Paso a safe, affordable, high-quality service and loving environment, where they can play and learn. Respect toward self, others and the environment will be emphasized. We believe in the value of both structured and flexible schedules. Structured activities will include the use of a preschool curriculum, regular reading times, art and crafts, musical activities, outdoor play and free play. The most important priority is to have FUN! Each child is an individual and needs to be treated as such. They come to us in all shapes and sizes at all stages of development. Kidz Care Paso will guide them through these stages and build upon them.

Cleanliness:

We always maintain our daycare clean so that it looks good to prospective families. It also creates a good environment for the kiddos and the caregivers. We clean surfaces to help prevent the spread of illness, which is common in an early childhood setting, making this our consistent routine. We ensure that the physical environment is tidy and disinfected on a daily basis. Here are some supplies that we found useful to have on hand:
Lysol wipes
Water and hydrogen peroxide mixture
Hand sanitizer
Also, we always encourage frequent hand washing among children as well as staff to stop the spread of germs.
Additionally, all caregivers involved in preparing meals and snacks are properly trained in food handling. Proper food handling can avoid cross-contamination and illness.
Health and Safety Curriculum for Early Childhood:
Safety extends into nearly all aspects of a child care facility and its day-to-day operations. At Kidz Care Paso safety is at the forefront of our caregivers’ minds at all times.
From the layout of the rooms and placement of desks to the materials used in craft making; safety is always a consideration. We believe that creating a safe environment will prevent unnecessary mishaps.
We always incorporate tidying into the daily routine with the kiddos. We budget some time to clean up after each activity. This will not only reduce the work that caregivers have to do after each activity but also teach the kiddos good habits that will carry on into the future.
First Aid:

At Kidz Care Paso a first aid kit is always accessible at all times in case of emergency. We make sure all kits are checked for expired supplies and restocked frequently.
On stroll days, usually after a heavy meal and when weather is nice, we always bring along a travel first aid kit. It is always better to be overprepared in this case.
Nutrition:

Ensuring that all children receive nutritious meals at Kidz Care Paso is often a top concern for us.
During the early childhood years, it is very important that little ones get the right balance of nutrients for their growth and development, that is why we have a healthy meal plan which is customized to the age group of the children in our care.

We also take personal allergies and nutritional requirements into account.
